Dear friends, colleagues, Grand Masters, Masters, NGB’s representatives,

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter.

I received news today of the passing of Master Mikhail Shmelev, of Saint Petersburg Taekwon-Do.
Mikhail played a huge part in the development of both the EITF and ITF across Europe, and was well known to many of us. Always approachable and always with a smile Mikhail was a friend to all that had dealings with him.
His loss has left us all with feelings of great sorrow throughout our whole Taekwon-Do family.

My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends at this very sad time.
